Ruth Bader Ginsburg Upholds Imperialism

“By a 7-2 margin, the Supreme Court voted recently to allow the pipeline to pass underneath the Appalachian Trail, and nothing surprised—and disappointed—people more than Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s vote in favor of the decision.

This certainly isn’t the first time Ginsburg has shown her more conservative side. In 2019, she supported a tough-on-crime criminal sentencing decision that now allows a defendant to be sentenced for violating their supervised release, even if the release was set to expire during their incarceration ahead of facing new charges.

When asked about football player Colin Kaepernick’s peaceful protest of taking a knee during the National Anthem, she bluntly responded, “I think it’s dumb and disrespectful.”
